Amazon's Silk browser and the popular foursquare don't play nice with each other!

Bug discovered on: 12/26/11

Description:

Foursquare has an arrow on the log in page that refreshes a tutorial about how it works.  User is able to cycle throw a colorful series of images that explain foursquare.

This web tutorial does not work on the new Kindle Fire.  If the user cycles through this foursquare tutorial, all the text becomes overlaid and un-readable.

Repro Steps:

1.     Navigate to www.foursquare.com on a Kindle Fire
2.     Press the right arrow to flick through Foursquare’s info panes
3.     Note that the user cannot cycle to the end and that text and images become overlaid as the user cycles through the information

Result:  Foursquare’s tutorial on the log in page does not work with the Silk browser on a Kindle Fire

Expected:  That Foursquare’s tutorial on the log in page will work on a Kindle Fire using the Silk browser

This is foursquare's log in page as viewed on a Kindle Fire using the Silk browser.  First portion is fine, problems arise if the user taps on the inviting right arrow...

Text on the left hand side becomes unreadable and overlaid.  As the user cycles through the tutorial, images of iPhones, and screenshots showing what the application looks like become heaped together in an unsightly jumble...
This bug was logged on Get Satisfaction.  A tweet alerting foursquare support was also sent out.
